Developing Better Footballers Through Futsal
At Ascot Futsal, we are a proud family-run coaching company dedicated to helping boys and girls aged 4–14 develop outstanding football skills, confidence, creativity, and leadership through the game of futsal.
Based in Ascot, our sessions provide a fun, challenging, and supportive environment where young players can learn, improve, and enjoy their football journey. Whether your child is taking their first steps in the game or already playing regularly for a club, futsal offers a unique platform for accelerated technical development.
Why Futsal?
Originating in Brazil and South America, futsal is a fast-paced, small-sided format of football played with a smaller, low-bounce ball. The game places players in more frequent football situations, giving them significantly more touches, decisions, and opportunities to develop key technical skills.
Futsal helps players improve:
• Ball mastery and close control
• First touch and receiving skills
• Passing accuracy and movement
• Creativity and problem-solving
• Speed of thought and decision-making
• Confidence in possession
• Agility, balance, and coordination
Many of the world’s greatest players have spoken about the impact futsal had on their development, including Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Ronaldinho and Philippe Coutinho. Their stories highlight how futsal’s emphasis on technique, quick thinking, and creativity can provide a strong foundation for success in football.

Listen to “On The Grass”
We’re passionate about sharing coaching insights and inspiring stories from the world of football and futsal.
In a recent episode of On The Grass, Mick Lewin sits down with Scotland international and Charlton Athletic striker Lyndon Dykes to discuss his football journey and the role futsal played in his development as a young player.
The conversation offers valuable insights for players, parents, and coaches interested in understanding how futsal can help develop the skills required for the modern game.
